The Park team want you to fully enjoy the experience of our well being facilities. We have put this A to Z together to better inform you on how this can be achieved. Enjoy the experience. A: - Air conditioning is a must for keeping the health club at optimum temperature and humidity all year round.
- State of the art wireless audio-visual equipment is used at The Park, with 8 station headphone sockets available on the cardio vascular equipment. Whether it’s music or television you require, it’s only a click away.
- Members have to pay a one off joining fee. Although called a joining fee it is actually a one off administration charge which includes the set-up of the financial payment such as standing order/direct debit etc., Induction Course, Fitness Program and administrative systems. There is no joining fee for students (between 16 and 18 years) or those who are over 60 years old.
B: - The health club opens from 8:00am to 6:00pm on all Bank Holidays apart from 25th/26th December and 1st January when we will be closed.
- An annual Barbecue will be held for members during the summer season. See notice board for further details.
- Cardio Bounce - a new and exciting class designed to stimulate the muscles in a very low impact, but surprisingly intense way whilst having lots of fun.
C: - Classes are included within your membership. Full memberships can use all core classes, whilst off peak members can use off peak core classes.
- In the interests of others during peak times please limit the use of individual cardiovascular equipment to 20 minutes if required.
- Corporate Membership is available for the discerning employer.
- The changing rooms are constantly checked to make sure they are kept to the highest standard of cleanliness and availability. If you find anything amiss please contact a health club staff member who will immediately endeavour to rectify the issue. Our changing rooms are furnished with complimentary toiletries including shampoo and body wash.
- We encourage you to leave your car at home and cycle to The Park. We have a number of on/off road mountain bike tracks catering for all abilities.
- We have a cancellation policy for the treatment rooms. If you are unable to attend a treatment after booking it please let us know immediately. The Park do reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee if the cancelled treatment session can not be rebooked. If treatment is cancelled with more than 1 week's notice there is no cancellation charge. If treatment is cancelled with more than 3 day's notice there is a cancellation charge of 25% of the treatment. If treatment is cancelled with more than 1 day's notice (24 hours) there is a cancellation charge of 50% of the treatment. Finally, if treatment is cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice there is a cancellation charge of 100% of the treatment.
D: - The Park offers payment of membership either annually or monthly by cheque, debit card, direct debit or standing order.
E: - Individual exercise programs are available for all members, for all health and fitness goals. Our health club team will guide you in developing an individual fitness program, reviewing it with you periodically making sure you are on track to achieve your personal goals.
F: - The First Aid station is located at reception. Please contact a member of staff if treatment is required.
- After induction the health club staff will be on hand to work out an individual fitness program for you if required.
- Family and Friends is included within all annual upfront payment memberships. Within one month of joining, you will need to name up to 4 adults who will then have use of The Park 4 times a year, based on your membership type, with you.
G: H: - Hairdryers are available in both changing rooms. Heart rate from monitors from Polar are available to check that pulse!
I: - Indoor cycling is all the craze, so why not book in for one of our classes, we call it wicked wheels - and that's what it is!
- All new members are asked to complete an induction course to get more out of the club through familiarising themselves with the gym, equipment and etiquette.

K: - Make sure you are wearing the right kit when you visit The Park. Good trainers are a must and bring spare trainers if you are going to use the 1km outdoors jogging track to change back into. T-shirt, shorts or track suit bottoms are what most members wear.
L: - Lockers are made available for your use. Please make sure you pick up a key from reception and hand it back when leaving The Park.
M: - Memberships cards are issued after the joining fee and annual/monthly payment has been made. Please make sure you bring your card on every visit to the health club. This ensures the health club is used only by members (and their guests) and for safety reasons notifies us who is in the health club complex at any given time.
- Membership fee tariffs are available both at the health club and on our website.
N: - Notice boards are placed both within the health club complex and on our website. These information points will keep you up to date with relevant information, activities and events.
O: - Opening hours: -
- Full members - 7:00am to 10:00pm Monday to Thursday, 7:00am to 8:00pm Friday and 8:00am to 6:00pm Saturday and Sunday.
P: - All our cardio vascular, resistance and strength equipment (apart from Concept2 rowers) are from Precor® USA. Their equipment is renowned the world over for safety, quality and durability. All our Precor equipment is regularly maintained by Precor engineers to keep it in top condition for you.
- Professional staff are always at hand to assist you. The Park only employs staff who are skilled, experienced and have an active interest in health and fitness. When you need them they will be there, when you don’t they will keep their distance!
Q: - A quarterly newsletter will be emailed to those members wanting to keep up to date with our activities events and other news.
- Our instructors are at least qualified in first aid and NVQ Gym Instructor Level II.
R: - You will benefit most if you are able to regularly visit our health club two to four times each week.
- If you need “spotting” on resistance equipment or loose weights please ask one of our health club team.
- Our unique 1km running track meanders around one of our 20 acre fields. The track is open all year round and is suitable for beginners through to the experienced runner. Please remember to bring a spare pair of trainers to change into if the track is muddy.
- Revive at the Park is based in the old dairy and farmhouse. Revive is a coffee shop - with free WiFi LAN, an Elemis beauty therapy and specialist treatment centre including holistic, sports massage, NLP and other treatments.
S: - Studio classes and timetables will be notified on the website and the notice boards. You can book classes online or telephone us.
- Our student membership not only covers those whose ages are between 16 and 18, but also those who are in full time education. Please contact The Park for further information.
- Indoor Spin bikes are all the craze. A short 45-minute workout to upbeat music is exhilarating, whilst burning off calories fast. It’s a complete workout, in a fraction of the time!
- The setting of The Park in this rural surround is conducive for social activities and events. Please regularly check our notice boards.
T: - Bottom draw stuff, but we do have Terms and Conditions available from reception at The Park - please make sure you have read them and please comply by them too.
- Please remember to bring a towel, or two with you for drying.
- The treatment rooms are open for both members and non-members. Please book the beauty and complementary treatments online, by phone or at reception. Please sign in and pay at reception unless otherwise advised.
U: - If you need any assistance during your period at The Park our team can be easily identified wearing their blue/white sporting uniforms.
V: - The Park has two car parks within the grounds of the campus for members and guests vehicles.
